The function of the oil delivery pump is to ensure the circulation of diesel oil in the low-pressure oil circuit, and supply sufficient quantity and certain pressure fuel to the fuel injection pump, the oil transfer amount should be 3-4 times of the maximum oil injection amount of full load. Oil pumps are divided into gear type oil pump, diaphragm type oil pump, plunger type oil pump, pipeline type oil pump and so on.

Generally speaking, the mechanical oil pump is very reliable, even if a failure, often is the diaphragm rupture caused by insufficient oil. Sometimes the oil pump rocker arm or spring wear too much, will also cause oil shortage, the fault is easy to identify. The old oil pump can be repaired, but the new oil pump can not be removed, once the failure of the replacement.

1. Firstly, check whether the push rod driving the diaphragm in the pump mechanism is damaged. Gently plug the oil inlet of the oil pump with your finger and try to start the engine.

2. The fingertip has no sense of being sucked, indicating that the push rod has been damaged. The fuel injection pump should be replaced as a whole.

When the electric fuel injection pump works, if it emits a powerful sound, it means the pump is in good condition. If there is no sound, it means the supply pump is out of order.
