In addition to the radial pressure, the factors that affect the sealing performance of the oil seal are also related to the surface roughness of the journal, the journal runout, the linear speed of the rotating surface, the smoothness of the lip, the rubber material and the spring force of the self tightening spring. In addition, if the bearing is short of oil or the oil quality is too dirty and mud and other foreign matters enter, the lip wear will be intensified and the journal will be in loose contact, resulting in the failure of oil seal.
