What will be affected by damaged oil pump camshaft
1. The outer circular arc surface of the pump at the joint of the injection pump and the bracket is worn (the internal circular arc surface of the bracket is relatively less worn), and the pump body moves down, so that the camshaft and the driving shaft axis of the oil pump are offset.
2. The cam shaft of the injection pump is subjected to twisting, bending, swinging and other forces, resulting in additional alternating stress, which eventually leads to the fatigue fracture of the camshaft.
3. The camshaft drives the valve, which will also cause the incorrect opening and closing time of the valve, thus affecting the intake and exhaust and cylinder pressure.
Extended data:
fault
The common faults of camshaft include abnormal wear, abnormal noise and fracture. The abnormal noise and fracture often occur before the abnormal wear.
1. The camshaft is almost at the end of the engine lubrication system, so the lubrication condition is not optimistic. If the oil supply pressure of the oil pump is insufficient due to the long service time, or the lubricating oil can not reach the camshaft due to the blockage of the lubricating oil passage, or the tightening torque of the fastening bolt of the bearing cover is too large to allow the lubricating oil to enter the camshaft gap, the camshaft will be abnormally worn.
2. The abnormal wear of the camshaft will cause the gap between the camshaft and the bearing pedestal to increase, and the axial displacement will occur when the camshaft moves, thus producing abnormal noise. Abnormal wear will also cause the gap between the driving cam and the hydraulic tappet to increase. When the cam and the hydraulic tappet are combined, there will be impact, resulting in abnormal noise.
3. Sometimes, the camshaft breaks and other serious faults occur. The common causes are the hydraulic tappet broken or seriously worn, the serious bad lubrication, the poor quality of the camshaft and the break of the camshaft timing gear.
4. In some cases, the camshaft fault is caused by human factors, especially when the engine is repaired, the camshaft is not disassembled correctly. For example, when removing the camshaft bearing cover, strike it with a hammer or press it with a screwdriver, or install the bearing cover in the wrong position, resulting in the mismatch between the bearing cover and the bearing seat, or the tightening torque of the fastening bolts of the bearing cover is too large, etc. When installing the bearing cover, pay attention to the direction arrow, position number and other marks on the surface of the bearing cover, and use the torque wrench to tighten the fastening bolts of the bearing cover in strict accordance with the specified torque.
